And make sure to head over to their bandcamp page to give the entire thing a listen. We think it’s pretty fantastic.
Electro-soul crooners Rose Quartz pride themselves on being the defenders of “love” in their debut EP Axis of Love, which the band will independently release on January 6, with some distribution assistance coming from the good people at Red Bull Sound Select.
On November 18th, Rose Quartz released “Leaving Now” as the lead single from Axis of Love. A dark and sultry track set to the sticky tone of a lone piano, “Leaving Now” documents the fallout of a relationship gone wrong, and the destructive aftermath that can follow. The analog-darlings from Rose Quartz say that a video to accompany the single is intended to follow soon.
All this before the band has even unpacked their bags from a recent string of concerts and tour dates that saw them performing with artists the likes of St. Lucia, Cut Copy, MSMR and more. The group even managed foster two new members somewhere along the way, expanding from the fuzzy two-piece they once were to a fully live and dynamic four-piece they are now, that could give Holy Ghost! a run for their money!
Since no one has time for love with a schedule like this, the group’s next move is to Los Angeles, where they will play a SOLD OUT show with Future Islands November 20 at the Wiltern. Part of Red Bull Sound Select’s groundbreaking #30DaysInLA campaign.
